Assistant Football Coach – Special Teams Coordinator and Running Backs Coach Old Dominion University invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach – Special Teams Coordinator and Running Backs Coach, a full-time, 12-month faculty-administrative position. Responsibilities include excellent knowledge of special teams. Ability to coordinate a staff of 10 assistant coaches and 80 student-athletes. Ability to coordinate all aspects of special teams within our program. Responsibilities will include playbook organization, scouting reports, game planning and play selection, practice planning and scripts, personnel and depth charts, awards and recognition and assisting the Head Coach in administering a Division 1-AA football program. To include: on-field special teams organization, talent assessment and recruitment of qualified student-athletes, monitoring of academic progress of team members, knowledge of and commitment to compliance with CAA and NCAA rules, fund raising and promotion of the football program within the community. Qualifications: Master’s degree required or a bachelor’s degree with experience equivalent to an advance degree; football coaching or teaching experience, collegiate experience (athlete/coach) preferred. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
