The Bern Grizzlies are the reigning Swiss champions and we are looking for an experienced coach to lead our team next season (February – July).
Responsibilities:
- Organize and plan trainings along with current coaching staff (three trainings a week + weekly game).
- Write (possibly), install, and coach playbook.
- Mentor to both coaches and players.
- Film review, and prepare theory sessions.
- Assist in coaching at the junior level (ages 14-19).

- A chance to lead an already well organized team with a vast amount of player potential at all positions of the game, and of various ages (range 19 to 35).
- The chance to get an insight into football outside of the United States, and to travel around Switzerland and experience a different culture.
- The chance to work with other coaches and players that are not motivated by financial reasons to play the game, but play the game because they have heart and passion for it.
- A round trip flight; Housing in the city of Bern; Insurance costs; Transportation costs; and a base salary for personal expenditure.
- If interested, we will also offer full support in finding a separate part-time job.
Your profile:
- Defensive minded (as we have some experienced offensive staff), but with sufficient offensive experience to adjust and mentor the offensive coaches.
- At least 3 years experience as a coordinator at the college level. Experience as a head coach is preferred, but not necessary.
- Motivated, open-minded, excellent social skills in order to relate to players and coaches, and excellent communication skills and a willingness to explain how and why.
