Position: Assistant Football Coach

Description:

Western Connecticut State University, an NCAA Division III member, competing in the New Jersey Athletic Conference, invites applications for two part-time football intern coaching positions (1 offense/1 defense). Duties will include recruiting, coaching a position, opponent scouting & video breakdown (LRS Sports), practice preparation, and other auxiliary duties as assigned.

The review of applications will begin immediately the positions will be filled as soon as possible. Initial interviews will take place at the 2008 AFCA Convention in Anaheim, CA. These positions will start on January 22, 2008 and continue until the end of the spring semester with the possibility of an extension with satisfactory performance.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree required. Previous coaching experience, preferably at the intercollegiate level, is desirable. Must have knowledge and an understanding of NCAA rules/regulations for Division III Football. Highly developed organizational, managerial, and motivational skills are desired. Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word and Playmaker software as well as Internet knowledge as it relates to scouting and recruiting. WCSU is a dynamic, diverse workplace and the ability to work with students, faculty and staff from various backgrounds and cultures is highly valued.

Job Benefits/Compensation:


Commensurate with experience (approximately $1000 per month).
